Anest Williams
Researcher

Anest joined Arad in April 2024, making her the newest member of the team. Before joining Arad, she worked in an independent bookshop and as a translation project officer for the Books Council of Wales. Her broad research interests include education, arts and culture, social policy, inequality and inclusivity, and the Welsh language.

Anest’s research project experience includes pan-Wales evaluations of the new Curriculum for Wales and Additional Learning Needs system for the Welsh Government, an evaluation of the National Music Plan in Wales, and researching the influence that the Ganolfan Ddysgu Cymraeg has on the Welsh language. She has skills in desk-based research, undertaking surveys and interviews, and analysing qualitative and quantitative data.

Outside of researching, Anest likes to spend her time reading, running, baking bread, and walking around Cardiff with Malwen the greyhound. She is a fluent Welsh speaker.
