The Building Livelihoods and Strengthening Communities in Wales was a three-year project supported by the Big Lottery Fund (Wales) that worked with marginalised communities across Wales, helping individuals and families to maximise their assets and abilities, in order to tackle poverty in their local areas. To evaluate the project one to one consultations and focus groups were conducted with project staff, project participants, community groups, and service providers.

(Prince’s Trust, 2016)
Arad Research are evaluating the Project which works with a variety of black and ethnic minority communities and local organisations across Wales. The model assumes that by focusing on this outreach work the Prince’s Trust will be better placed to connect with and signpost young people from BME communities to relevant Prince’s Trust programmes. The evaluation is being undertaken as the project is coming to an end to qualitatively demonstrate the impact of the project and to explore any lessons learned. Arad carried out interviews with the young people supported and with those partner organisations who have helped steer the delivery.
