Stuart Harries

Stuart is one of Arad’s founding directors and has research and evaluation experience that spans almost 30 years. Stuart is an economics graduate and has led research and evaluation studies for clients ranging from charity organisations to national government. Stuart is an excellent communicator in both Welsh and English and an experienced facilitator of conferences, seminars and focus groups.

 Stuart’s main areas of interest and expertise are in the areas of education, skills and the labour market. Recent studies undertaken by Stuart have focused on school curriculum design and implementation in Wales, workforce skills development in sectors such as media, TV and film as well as early years education and childcare policies. Stuart has also undertaken a number of economic impact studies for clients including S4C and Yr Urdd, as well as studies focussing specifically on the Welsh language.

 Outside of work Stuart enjoys playing five a side football, gardening and walking his two labradors, Poppy and Teddy.
