Brett Duggan

Brett is a co-founder and director of Arad Research.

During the past ten years, he has led evaluations and research projects on behalf of government departments, public sector organisations and local authorities. He has worked across a range of policy areas, including education and skills, the arts, the Welsh language, community regeneration and policy in the field of children and young people. At present he is leading a team that is evaluating the Welsh-medium Education Strategy on behalf of the Welsh Government, a comprehensive three-year programme of research. He has recently completed research on early language development to inform the Flying Start programme in Wales. He has led evaluations that have considered the impact of arts, culture and sport programmes on young people and communities in Wales, including an evaluation of Cultural Olympiad projects on behalf of the Arts Council of Wales. Prior to his time at Arad, he worked for research consultancy Newidiem and spent four years as a political researcher at the National Assembly. Brett speaks Welsh and French. He lives in Pontypridd.
